Magazine Bracelet

Paper and Resin Bracelet

The method to make this Bracelet is to glue up many layers of magazine pages.  When the block is hard and dry it goes to the Lathe for shaping.  This Magazine Bracelet is for my favorite Best Selling author and consultant, Carlye Adler.  This one of a kind bracelet is a lamination of magazine pages with waterproof glue. This lamination is stronger than wood when dry. The inside diameter is 2 1/2 inches and the outside diameter is 3 1/4 inches. The thickness is 1/2 inch. The finished piece receives a protective clear resin finish. Notice the letters appearing on the surface.

Resin Facts

If you would like to learn more about working with resin see the link below.  I cast or coat many of my jewelry items with resin.  I use a two-part mix. It never gets boring and the results usually exceed expectations.  Resin has opened up many new areas to explore and produce beautiful items.  Here is a technical resin summary link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resin_casting
