Laminated Paper Turned Into Bangles

Laminated Paper turned Into Bangles. The process is to glue up pages of comic strips, magazines or quality paper. Later I turn the block into a bangle on a wood Lathe. When dry this block of paper is stronger than wood.  Finally the entire bracelet gets a layer of protective clear resin.   The inside diameter is 2 3/8 inches and the outside diameter is 3 1/4 inches. The thickness is 3/8 inch. These items received Honorable Mention Award at a regional woodworking symposium at Saratoga NY in 2015.

These Laminated Paper Bangles are unique and always get attention.  To determine your Bangle size measure the inside of a solid round bracelet that is comfortable.  Another method is to make a rigid paper tube that slides over your hand.  If you like this Laminated Paper Bangle take a look at some other wood jewelry items like Colored Pencil Bangle

Resin Facts

I use a two part resin mix to cast or coat most of my jewelry with resin.  It never gets boring and the results usually exceed expectations.  Resin has opened up many new areas to experiment and design beautiful items.  Here is a technical resin summary link

Studio

I design and produce all of the items in my store.  Many items begin on the wood lathe and are completed at the studio bench.  Once the form is complete I will spend a lot of time doing secondary operations.  When you purchase from AATurning I guarantee that you will receive an original item.
