Honey Locust Pencil Bowl
This stunning food-safe Honey Locust Pencil Bowl features an inlay of colored pencils around the top rim. I carve a recess into the top edge and then glue in place the pencils.  The pencils are sealed in food-safe clear epoxy. The colored pencils add so much character and truly make this a one of a kind piece.  I turned this bowl on a wood lathe and finished over many days on the studio bench. The size is 9 1/2 inch diameter by 3 inches high. The bowl interior is 8 1/2 inches in diameter.  Signed by the artist, Alan Adler at the base.
This is an excellent display piece and art piece that will compliment any home decor especially one of an art collector, designer or teacher.  It will be perfect in your home and make a great centerpiece.

Care for your Locust Colored Pencil Bowl
Keep out of direct sunlight
Minimize exposure to wide swings in humidity levels
Do not wash with water, if necessary use only a damp cloth
Wax lightly with a quality food safe wax or oil and buff to restore the luster.  I like beeswax, walnut oil or mineral oil.
