Inspired Pendant
This one of a kind inspired Frank Lloyd Wright Pendant and necklace design. It is made by slicing a block color pencils. The slice exposes a cross section of the color lead from inside the wood. The slice is then sanded, coated and domed with clear epoxy resin.  This highlights and protects this unique piece of jewelry. The silver finish pendant has a twenty four inch silver tone metal chain with lobster claw for your comfort and style. The pendant size is 2 inches by 1 inch wide and approximately 1/8 inch thick.
This will make a fashion statement and get attention when worn with any outfit. It is a great conversation piece and it is unlikely anyone will be able to identify it as made from colored pencils at first glance. Ask an adult what the colors are and they will not be able to provide an answer.  When you tell them it is color pencils they will respond “Wow.”  Ask a child and they will say color pencils almost immediately. Interesting that we lose this spontaneity as we age.
Since 2010, I have been designing handmade wood jewelry.  I cast a block of color pencils in clear epoxy resin. Once the resin sets up I would be able to cut the block into smaller pieces to make unique jewelry.  The first pieces were color pencil bangle bracelets.  This opened up a variety of design opportunities for creating earrings, pendants and cufflinks.
