Bent Wood Coiled Bracelet
This is a Bent Wood Coiled Bracelet. The wood is Oak.  I am able to coil and bend wood in a tight radius without snapping.  This technique opens many design opportunities to explore new jewelry items and also Holiday Gifts.   In fact, the finished bangle maintains a high degree of flexibility.  It is not fragile and will not break under normal handling conditions. Do not be concerned about wearing it every day if that is what you would like to do.  The inside diameter is 2 1/4 inches and the outside diameter is 3 inches and thickness is 1/4 of an inch. To determine your size, measure the inside diameter of a solid round bracelet that fits you comfortably.  Or make a paperboard sleeve to slide over your hand without flexing and measure the inside diameter.  Alan Adler, artist signature is on the inside.

I began making jewelry in 2010.  The process to bend wood is a new direction from my initial color pencil items.  What I find so exciting about the creative process is that just doing something often leads to new ideas. Constant probing will not allow a creative block to take hold.
