Bent Wood Bracelet
This is a bent wood elm bracelet. I am able to process wood so it can be formed into coils and bent in a tight radius without snapping. This Bracelet has three full coils. The finished bangle maintains a high degree of flexibility. It is not fragile and will not break under normal handling conditions. Do not be concerned about wearing it everyday if that is what you would like to do. It is a perfect gift for the student, artist, teacher or someone who just loves wood. Artist signature on the inside, Alan Adler. The inside diameter is 2 1/2 inches and the outside diameter is 3 1/2 inches. The thickness is 1/4 of an inch with triple coil. To determine your size, measure the inside diameter of a solid round bracelet that fits you comfortably. Or make a paperboard sleeve to slide over your hand without flexing and measure the inside diameter.
Jewelry Making Journey
I began making wood jewelry in 2010. This process of bending wood is a new direction from my initial color pencil items. What I find so exciting about the creative process is that just doing something often leads to new ideas. Constant experimenting will not allow a creative block to take hold.
You will get lots of enjoyment from this Bent Wood Bracelet and find that people are curious that wood can be made into coils and not break. Perhaps you need a unique gift for that special friend. All of the item in my store are handmade by me in my studio in Montvale, NJ USA. You can be assured that you are purchasing an original Alan Adler item. I do not sell items from outside sources.
