This is a laser-cut image of a vintage Japanese art print. The wood platter is turned on a wood lathe. The process is to turn a square block of wood. There are sloping edges on the four underside edges of the bowl. Once the shape is complete the piece go to a laser. The image is then hand painted. Inspired from historic Japanese drawings I have duplicated the vintage image onto the wood. The size is approximately 7 inches by 7 inches by 2 inches high. The finish is food safe.
